Commercial Manager - 17139

Commercial Manager required to join one of Europe’s leading contractors on a Data Centre project in The Netherlands. The Commercial Manager will report into the Regional Commercial Director and be responsible successful timely delivery of the project.

Responsibilities

· Evaluate all Tender and Post Tender Submissions in collaboration with Senior Management.

· Conduct Commercial Handover Meetings transitioning from the Estimating team to the Site Team.

· Establish Project Budgets and Margins and reach consensus on Budget Codes with the Accounts and Procurement Departments.

· Foster the growth and development of the existing Commercial team.

· Scrutinize Contract Conditions for new Projects.

Assess the suitability of the current Standard Sub-Contract Packages used in various European Countries.

· Provide an overview of sub-contractor workload and capacity before their appointment.

· Perform due diligence on all new sub-contractors and suppliers, striving for standardization in Sub-Contractor appointments.

· Grant final approval for Purchase Orders before issuance and negotiation of payment terms with the supply chain.

· Standardize Payment Certification and Invoicing procedures across all projects.

· Implement a Cost Reporting Structure aligned with Project Budgets.

· Ensure that Project Commercial Trackers are regularly updated and generate and present Monthly Cashflow and Margin Reports.

· Administer Open Book, Provisional, and Lump Sum Packages Agreements and oversee contractual dispute resolutions.

Requirements

· Possession of a relevant third-level degree qualification.

· More than 15 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 10 years focused on high-value construction projects.

· Preferable background experience in an established Main Contractor environment, though substantial experience with major MEP subcontractors is also advantageous.

· Proficiency in written and verbal communication as well as computer skills.

· Prior experience in data centre projects is an asset
